Do you need to drill into the wall?
Unfortunately, under the current design guidelines, it's not allowed, even if it's in your own backyard. If you want a wall mounted trellis, you're out of luck. Board to put the item on the next agenda
The issue was raised again during Open Forum at the Jan 19 Board meeting. A Board member committed to placing the proposal on the agenda for the next session.
Board meeting invite, initiative not on the agenda
The Board did not place this item on the agenda of the meeting scheduled for Jan 19. There is still no response or any engagement from the Board.
Board meeting adjourned
Since only 1 Board member attended, the quorum was not met and the Dec 10 Board meeting was adjourned. The topic had not been placed on the agenda.
The Board does not act
The mgmt company shared "The Board does not appear to want to move forward with this suggestion" and referred this to the Open Forum during a scheduled meeting.
Board notified about growing homeowner support
The Board was notified via the management company that 25 homeowners now support the proposal.

This initiative has been launched and is now open for signatures.
Update from the management company
Following a request for an update, management informed that the Board does not currently wish to move the idea forward.
The proposal was presented during Open Forum
...at the Board meeting. It was not included on the meeting agenda. No discussion occurred at that time.
Submitted request to add proposal on the agenda
Management company advised that proposals can only be addressed during Open Forum at regularly scheduled Board meetings.
Written proposal submitted to HOA
After speaking with several neighbors, a written proposal to amend the design guidelines was submitted to the HOA Board via the management company.
Initial inquiry submitted to the management
company regarding requirements for a wall-mounted trellis. Management clarified that current guidelines prohibit attachments to perimeter walls.
